We're Just Fine!

My apologies for not getting any word out sooner, but we have been busy! I only have a few minutes now, but wanted to let you know we are all safe and having a wonderful time! We officially began the safari yesterday and went to Lake Naivasha via the Rift Valley. Had lunch at Elsamere where Elsa the lioness of Born Free fame was raised. It is now a wildlife reserve. There was a wonderful buffet lunch (with chicken too) and then we walked down to the Lake and hopped into a small boat and had a ride around the edge. Saw lots of birds and hippos! It was very much like our New River trips in Belize. Then a movie about Joy Adamson and her career as a writer and artist. Then back into the van for a drive around the lake where we saw zebras, giraffe, baboons, etc. We arrived at the Mission in Action Orphanage after dark and had a quick tour of the kids house. They had all just gotten to bed so of course we really set them off, but it was great! Then headed to the restaurant building and had a wonderful buffet and conversation about the orphanage. Had a great night's sleep in our yurt. I'll do more with pictures tonight, if we have time. Today we're off to the Nakuru Game Park for the day after breakfast and chapel with the kids.

We're safe and having a GRAND TIME!
