Heading Home!

We had a very lazy morning, sleeping in. It's been a very hectic two weeks and we have a very crazy schedule when we get home, so this break proved to be very nice!
We had showers and headed downstairs to the breakfast buffet. Very extensive. Lots of fresh fruit, sweet rolls, bacon, sausage, beans, greens, it just went on and on. We decided on cooked before you omlettes. Yummy and the papaya was out of this world. And the hot chocolate was great too.

We wandered around the hotel some after we ate. We headed up to the top floor and found that we were across the street from the Nairobi National Park.
We checked for animals with the binocs but didn't see any.
Headed down to the second floor and found the kiddie corner. Boy, kids could have a ball here! There was a skating rink, two movie theaters, a game gallery..lots to do.
what looked like a very nice Lebanese restaurant..
Just outside our room was a nice sitting area.It would have been great for reading if it hadn't
been raining...Back to the room and John worked on pictures and Jean worked on her book. :-)

About 1:30 or so we headed back down to the buffet for lunch...
John decided on stir-fry chicken,I decided on grilled rock fish. There was a huge selection, especially for dessert!
Lots of stained glass...

Back up to the room for a nap. We had thought about going out, but we're a long ways from downtown and the price for the drive through the Park was ridiculous. It was nice just to lounge around...that doesn't happen very often in our lives. We had a quiet rest of the afternoon and then headed downstairs for dinner at 6:30. Had a light and quick one and then got our luggage and waited for our ride to the airport. They were there with a van shortly after 7 and it only took 15 minutes! The night before had been almost 2 hours and he knew all the shortcuts! Nairobi traffic it awful! All went smoothly at the airport and we were through security and waiting in no time. The flight took off late, but that's pretty normal. We're really headed home!
