Bull Moon Ride and other Habitat July Events

It's been a busy Habitat Month for us.  We
staffed the Habitat Booth at several corporate
Volunteer events this month...they're always fun.

Then before we knew it it was time for the Early Packet Pickup
for the Bull Moon Run/Ride.  The Run added a lot of new folks
to the event and much excitement and anticipation.
Race/Run Day and the delivery of the house framing supplies.
Registration was brisk and at times hectic, but very well done!!

One of the play houses on display.
When folks registered they were encouraged to walk up to the
house site and help with the framing.  This house will be moved
on site and completed with funds from this Bull Moon Run/Ride.
Our incredible team members assembling the finish line.
A great DJ helped set the festive mood.
Route volunteers get directions and safety pointers.
 Riders beginning to assemble.
It was solid all the way of the hill.
and the riders were off.  The runners lined up 15 minutes later and took off.
John and I rushed to Duke Chapel to take pictures at the turnaround.
then back to Bull Stadium for the post party where we found
two of our favorite people, John and Anne Hodges-Copple
back from their ride.  The party was a grand success with a
huge crowd enjoying food, beer, locopops and great music.
And we made a whopping $75K from the event!  GREAT NIGHT!
