Off to Beijing

Jill got up very early this morning and drove us to Haneda Airport.  It's only an hour from their house as opposed to almost 3 hours to Narita.  So glad we were able to get flights in and out of here!  Our equipment was there and waiting for us.  Sorry to leave Japan...seems like we just got here, but we sure had a GREAT time!  Thanks Jill, Dave, Colin and Ryan for a wonderful visit...again!!
 Farewell Tokyo...we'll be back!
It was a wonderfully clear day flying over Mt. Fuji
and the rest of the ranges on the west side of Japan!
And a wonderful meal on a 3 1/2 hour flight.
Will miss the Japanese food!
We were very close to Beijing before
we could really see much...
The airport was beautiful...lots of glass.
and the currency exchange was right where they said it was.
We took a cab to our hotel.  Road Scholar had send a sheet
with the Chinese for us to give the taxi driver.  No problem!
We got settled in and then wandered around the area.
There was a bakery across the street so we watched
chocolate pipes being made.  Of course we picked
up a few items and took them to the room and had
them with some wonderful Jasmine tea.  Had dinner
at the hotel...actually Italian...quite good.
Tired puppies tonight but we stretched it to 8:30!
