Banana Pudding - Zoo (or not) - China Pete's - Flight Simulator!!

 In order to continue a long standing tradition...

the boys and Grandma made...

 Banana Pudding!

 Their skills are improving rapidly!

 Ready for the second layer of bananas!

 Crushing the vanilla wafers for the top...a zip lock bag, 

the rolling pin and the floor worked great...perfect crumbs!

Unfortunately we didn't get a picture of the finished

product and now it is too late...lots out of the pan...YUM!

Then we headed off to the zoo.  It had been a beautiful morning but as we were driving up to the parking lot it started to rain so decided to pass on the Zoo today and headed to China Pete's, one of our favorite Japan stores.  Picked up a few items and then headed home.

Then the early Birthday Celebration began for Grandpa with a surprise visit to the Flight Simulator where he attempted to land the jet on the carrier.  He did make the deck but unfortunately crashed the plane into the deck.  Needs a little practice!  He had a great time though and the boys got to try it out too.  Then home and a couple of games and time for dinner.  That pretty much covers the day...quite delightful.
