Cheeta time and a rainstorm.

A little quieter day today. The boys both went to school in the morning and Jill ran errands. Grandma and Grandpa did some catching up on bills, emails and planning for next week's adventure in Kauai. We all went to pick up the boys and to the library then home for lunch and Grandma, Jill and Ryan worked on cutting out Ryan's Cheeta costume for Halloween. It's been a long time since I've pinned a pattern on fabric!

As we were working a big rainstorm came through so that was an immediate run to the boots and umbrellas for some fun splash time outside. They don't get thunder and lightening around here very often. One of the neighbors has a pet duck that came down to splash in one of the puddles in the yard next door.

and of course we got a nice rainbow out of it also. We've had lots of those but this was the first rainstorm. The resident toad also appeared.

Dave fixed us a great dinner of baked chicken and Tuscan Beans and before we knew it the boys were headed for bed and the rest of us not too long afterwards. Very fun day.
