Breakfast with Rev. Malone and then a not so long flight!

We got up this morning and gathered all our goodies together and headed for Maple Valley down the road for breakfast with my college roommate LeeAnne's daughter, Bonnie. She is a Vicar at a small church in Maple Valley - St. George's. She's been there for a few months now and is enjoying having her own parish. She's the whole staff though so is a busy girl. One of the reasons that really sold her on this particular parish was the labrynth they had build behind the church.

It backs up to a natural area and a bike/hike trail so alot of folks use it other than the parish. We had a delightful breakfast and caught up on her family and all their changes and generally had a great time!

Rev. Bonnie

We headed to Kent and the car rental agency after breakfast and they called a taxi for us and soon we were off to the airport. It was really nice because Sea/Tac has free wifi in the whole airport so we got a little caught up with the world. Really hadn't missed all the blare and glare of the news etc, especially all the election ads! And it was really nice to get on the airplane and only have 6 hours ahead of us instead of the usual 12+! We arrived right on time and called Jill and she was there just as we came to the curb. They had just returned from a week in NJ for a baptism on Monday, so everyone was pretty exhausted so it was an early night. What a wonderful 40th celebration in Washington and Oregon and grand reunions with old friends. Time now to begin some good family time and a little relaxation. John is happy to be finished driving after putting on 3765 miles in the past month. He's ready for a rest! What wonderful places we were able to go and what good weather we had to go there - and 40 great years to celebrate! Thanks be to God for it all!!
