Ryan had a flag football game on base this morning. It was the first one we'd been able to watch...his other one last had been in Zama, about 30 minutes from here and the same time that Colin had one here...not an infrequent happening.
Warm up!
Go Ryan
He goes all out...and it helps that he's a head taller
than some of the other players! He scored
three or four touchdowns today. Fun to watch.
The tree in front of the house just gets more beautiful!
We headed home after the game and did a little football watching (remember 14 hours ahead here so some games are rebroadcast)...or we watch college ball on Sunday and NFL on Mon am. Then off to the Chippy Kid's Christmas Party. It's held in the big gym so there's lots of room for games.

Very cute elves...
and a chat with Santa for Colin...with a present at the end...
and one for Ryan too...
and a short visit with Dave...no present here.
But Grandma and Jill had a great present...
two small Chippy babies...actually Jill's little
guy has a twin sister. Very sweet!
Some Dad's can come home from the ship for a week,
some are lucky enough to be on shore duty or some get
to use the phone to help support the wives...not an easy life!
This is a Japanese couple who have adopted the Squadron.
They come bearing small games, Japanese candy and
wonderful mikan (oranges similar to our Clementines but
much larger). They are very generous and supportive.
Ryan beginning to put together one of his
Lego Creator objects that Santa brought him..
Colin got one too.
Colin making a bracelet for Grandma on his Rainbow Loom--red and green per Grandma request. He got it for his birthday from his cousin Emmy. It turned our very well and is now part of my permanent Christmas attire! Thanks Colin!! Another fun day with the Bairds!!
