Heart Association Jump, Basketball Games

A busy morning doing odds and ends and then off to school to watch Ryan and his schoolmates jump for the American Heart Association.  Everyone had gotten donations from friends and family.  Never did hear what the total was, but Ryan's class sure had fun jumping!
Helicopter - a hula hoop on a string is circled around and  the kids have to jump it.

And Jill and John spent a goodly amount of time twirling the double jump rope.  The older kids are very good...obviously have spent a lot of time practicing!  They say the same rhymes as I did as a kid.  Boys and girls jumped this...actually one of the best jumpers was a boy.

Home for lunch and it was time to go pick the boys up in no time!  Friday so no homework so they were outside in a flash to enjoy the nice weather (nice change!).  Then off to Ryan's basketball games...one after another.
The other coach was here today.  Pep talk time!
Ryan is a good ball handler...
and keeps those hands up high.
These are 4-6 year olds so a huge difference in size.  They did great the first game and then had 20 minutes before they faced a fresh team and one with bigger players than they were.  They worked really hard but most of them lost focus the second half.  Was a really fun time to watch though...some amazing baskets made!   Fun day!
