Snorkeling at Shark Cove, 3 Table Beach, etc

Another busy day in Hawaii! We headed for Sharks Cove on the North Shore to do some snorkeling. When we arrived, the tide was out and the usual tidepools we search through were almost empty. The side where the great snorkeling is was fairly rough...seas were 7-9, John went in for a few minutes, but it was pretty rough and stirred up.

But, in Hawaii, the next adventure is only minutes away....so we got in the car and headed for Three Tables Beach, where none of us had ever been. It took about 1 minute to get there and with the big Tables just off shore, the beach was protected from the heavy waves. So...

Ryan could practice his snorkeling...

the boys could climb on the rocks and watch the black crabs scurry for food...

and we found out that beach back there had lots of sea glass along the shoreline--the hunt was on! After a great morning at the beach, we headed for home and lunch. Ended up with two sleeping guys by the time arrived....so a late lunch and then, surprise, surprise....pool time!

It's alot easier to practice snorkeling in the pool!

Some reading...including three more books read by Colin :-) and then it was time for one of our favorite dinners....rotisserie chicken, mac and cheese and steamed carrots....and the last of the banana pudding! Yummy! Then, a bike ride before bed..

Some ball fetching in the park along the way....

and a great sunset to end yet another wonderful day!
