Last Day on Maui

John went snorkeling one more time this morning in Wailea, and then we walked the beach path to the end. We returned to the hotel and finished packing and checked out. Our friendly Gray Francolin family were feeding as they have been everyday we've been here. Seems we did a very thorough job of seeing Maui. Only a few miles of road that we missed, mostly through the sugar cane fields. We decided today to go to the Sugar Museum and then revisit a couple of places that we really enjoyed. The Museum was fascinating with alot of old pictures and models of the factory and stories of the workers. We had lunch out in the garden there and then headed back to the Lavender Farm to buy a protea to bring back to Oahu and to wander the gardens there again. On the way back home we drove past the Holy Ghost Church built in 1894. Then went to the goat farm to buy some goat cheese and then went over by the harbor and watched the windsurfers and parasailers before we headed to the airport. Turned in the car with 802 more miles added to it. A great week. The lodging was outstanding and scenery diverse and beautiful. Arrived in Oahu at about 9:00 and Jill came to pick us up at the airport once again.
