Yamata Shrine Sale & Camp Zama Game for Colin and The Ball

We got up and Jill, Dad and I headed to Yamata, the next town for the Yamata Shrine Sale. It's a large antique/yard sale they have once a month. There are alot of old obies (the ties for kimonos) as well as kimonos, dishes, paintings etc...pretty much you name it and you could find it. It was very fun
Mom thumbed through some old obies and Jill actually found a wonderfully long obie to hang on her new furniture coming in a week of so. We then headed home so we could pick up the guys and head to Camp Zama the Army Base nearby where Colin had his first baseball game.
Hanging with friends before the game.
3 and 0 for hitting--go Colin!
and he did an inning as catcher...
On the way home we drove by Dave's old apartment where he lived when he was here right after flight school....a while ago! Then he took us on his shortcut drive back to Atsugi...20+ turns on the tiny roads through the residential area....very fun.
Back home it was time to get beautiful for the Ball tonight.
Jill's friend Nicki came and did her hair.

Nice job! (note the table runner is the obie
that Jill bought at the sale)
They looked great when they left...
and Grandma, Grandpa and the boys had
a wonderful evening - just the 4 of us + Riley!
