IKEA, Joslyn and Costco

Rainy day today! Jill had left her credit card at IKEA the week before we arrived so we decided that would be a good day to go there.
Once again the parking was above the store. This time you took a ramp down into the wonders of IKEA! It's pretty much like any other IKEA store so we were pretty familiar with the layout.
Ryan found some cute fez for he and Colin and some capes for their guys. Then we just wandered awhile and found a few other things and then headed for some ice cream and then up the ramp and to the Joslyn store next door. It has the feel of a nice K-mart. They had a very nice garden department and Jill found just what she wanted for the front.
checking out...
While we were checking out Ryan found a sprinkler that was dripping and boys + water = wet face and giggles. We made a quick stop at the pet area and found this really unusual cat.
As we neared the house, the main road to the house was busy so Jill tried a short cut through the residential area, but we ended up pretty much where we started. But, it was really interesting going through the neighborhood. They all have nice gardens and everything is spotlessly clean. We got home, had lunch and then did laundry and John went with Jill to pick up the tickets for our trip to Kyoto on Wed. Later in the afternoon we made a trip to Costco for meat for a Pulled Pork lunch fundraiser tomorrow. It's only about 15 minutes away.
The wheels on the IKEA and Costco carts lock into the tread of the ramp...really ingenius so you just roll your cart onto the ramp and ride with it up to the parking lot. Things were pretty much the same throughout the store except for the samples. They had some great sashimi and some really good mango pudding. The meat selection was pretty much the same and prices fairly well in line with ours. We were in a bit of a hurry so didn't get over to the fish section but I certainly felt right at home.
When we got home, Ryan was reading in one of his favorite spots. We had a leftover and freezer dinner and some good conversation over dinner and odd chores until bedtime.
