There's a new Commander in the house!

John and I headed up to Va. Beach on Friday to finish up the move in and do some cleaning from Irene. We got alot done, doors cleaned of sand and seeds, windows cleaned, lawn mowed and sprayed...good work! Jill and Dave came up early Sunday from Duck where they had been helping Dave's folks clean up the beach house for the last three days. Irene was not nice to Duck, but there was no structural damage to the Baird house, only sand and a very littered beach full of wood from docks, everything imaginable. They had gotten a lot of the food prep done while down there! Time for the last minute touches they haven't had time to finish....
Dave has a green thumb we didn't know about!

Last of the dusting!
Ah, Dave's wonderful smoked beef tenderloin!
Watermelon boat - yum!
The Bairds and boys arrived from the beach
with great pictures of Dave's path to today!
